Formally known as Energy, Conservation, and Code for Residential Structures, this two-day class required for the optional and non-mandated energy residential inspection or energy residential plan review certifications provides comprehensive instruction on the applications of the energy codes, specifically Chapter 4 of the 2015 International Energy Conservation Code and Chapter 11 of International Residential Code and any references standards relative to residential structures in the plan review process or the field inspection process. This is a course that provides a hands-on learning environment targeted to the plans examiner and field inspector seeking to increase knowledge of energy codes or seeking certification in the energy category.
