This course is designed for all code enforcement individuals responsible for commercial plumbing inspections including Combination Commercial Inspectors. 

Applicants must have basic plumbing knowledge and have attended the CORE Course prior to taking this course.

The course will include the following plumbing inspection-related content:

• Plumbing Energy Requirements
• Accessible Plumbing Facilities
• Venting 
• Commercial Storm Drainage
• Grease Interceptors, Indirect Waste, & Waste Receptors
• Cross Connections and Backflow

Note: Previously, VBCA just offered one Plumbing Inspection module which covered both Residential and Commercial inspections. Beginning with the 2022 Spring Semester, Plumbing has been split into two modules going forward - Residential and Commercial. The previously offered Plumbing Inspection module will no longer be offered, but will still be accepted for DHCD Plumbing certifications for 4 years from the class completion date.
